Everything Changes

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my world and probably because I’ve been growing and changing and God is taking me to new places!!!

5 years ago seems a great place to start!!

That was me after having my 4th baby.  It’s also a couple months into my food and fitness journey trusting God to lead me!!

He transformed me inside and out, one day at a time and surrounded me with women in the process to come along side me.  Especially my cousin Becca  (my 2nd chick on this blog)  God was teaching us to trust Him in this one area to prepare us for all that would lie ahead!!!

Since this place God has done so much it would take days to recount but the most important lesson I’ve learned is everything changes!!! When you are walking the road with God everything changes into something more beautiful then you could ever imagine!!

Becca and I both stepped out in faith with God’s leading!!!  Becca renovated her families barn to host weddings on their families property and God took my family across the country in a 20 year old camper…lol!! Very different but both requiring us to trust God like never before, not just for us but for also our husbands!!!

In just a couple weeks God is taking us with our husbands to Nicaragua.  It’s a crazy story of how and why but still hard to believe it’s even happening!!

This landfill that people call home will be one of our first stops and I promise we will be sharing our adventure!!! If you would like to help you can donate to the organization we are going with here!!  My other cousin started this non-profit after doing missions for over 5 years and the money will go directly to help the families in the most need!!!

God is showing me that this journey with Him is not about being comfortable its about looking more like Christ with each passing day!

1 John 2:6

“the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.”

I’m by no means saying I’m anywhere close to Jesus but as I abide in Him I see everything changing!

Romans 12:1-2

“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

I don’t see, desire, or chase after what I used to.  I’m more content, happy and at peace then I’ve ever been in my life.  Not because of anything I have done by what God has done!  I know God cares about us eating healthy and taking care of our physical body but not to the point that it’s more important then spending time with Him.  I’ve learned that balance in all areas is the key to life….God FIRST and everything else falls into place!!

I’m so excited to see what God has in store for Becca and I and our families on these next 5 years but I do know we will look more like Christ if we abide in Him.  If we keep our priorities in order and we don’t let this world take us away from His truth!

So much love,

Shannon
