Change Doesn’t Have To Be So Hard

We are well into January! Did you make any resolutions? Did you already break them?  Change is so hard on your own!  I struggled for over 25 years with my weight and I made a ton of resolutions!! Nothing changed until I gave it to God!

From the day I let go of my life and said God Your will be done everything has changed!  He promise so many wonderful things through out the bible to those who love Him, trust Him, and seek Him! Even in the midst of storms I have clung to His promises.
” And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

Are you called according to His purpose or are you being led to your own purpose.  As long as you are using your strength to accomplish your goals you will struggle and most likely not stick with your resolution like 90% of everyone else.  You also miss out on the comfort and peace of the Creator of the universe carrying you.
” Come to me all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30

This was after an early morning run in Destin, Florida after the first week of our families cross country trip. (My goal is 1 big workout a week)  The trip God has completely put together is officially under way!!!!  If you would have told me a year ago we would be doing this I never would have believed you!  This is not something me or my husband ever dreamed about but I know it’s 100% God.  Looking at every detail brings me to tears!  A year ago it felt like my family was falling apart and now we are stuck in a little rv with no where to hide for two months!  God surely has a sense of humor!
In one week I have already learned so much but the number one thing on my heart is priorities and being present!
Work, school, friends, busy, busy, busy!  We are constantly pulled away from what matters most God should be #1 and our family right behind!    For me I’m always thinking about the next thing…trying to plan in advance. Instead of just enjoying the right now.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34

No matter what your struggle or the journey you are on I pray you have the Almighty, King of Kings, Lord of Lord’s guiding you every step of the way!!

Here is our families first movie, it’s just the first couple days!!
