I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day filled with love and some special treats I made the best chocolate cake ever that you have the recipe for here! So after a day of being put into a sugar comma, what do you do?
First… Spend time with God, it went a little like this! Me (Shannon) “ Dear God, Thank you so much for such a great day yesterday, and I thank you for that wonderful thing called sugar and thank you for not allowing it to tempt me today! Amen”
God says “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
Next, this morning we did an amazing work out – first we did the Crossfit Filthy Fifty
Don’t let it scare you, we use this as a bench mark. We probably do it once a month just for the fun of seeing how much we can improve. You can modify everything and just do what you can, it’s a great challenge! This video below gives tips on doing most of the moves but there are plenty of videos to show you how to do this workout! We would love to hear if you try it!
As if that wasn’t enough we finished off with our 20 minute sweat session on the treadmill can you sense the fun
Now to take care of those leftovers, you should read our rules for leftovers here. The amazing cake couldn’t be thrown in the trash, and the temptation would kill me if it’s in the fridge so guess what I did?
That’s right folks, it is cut in perfect portions and in the freezer OUT of SITE!
It is totally ok to have a sweet treat here and there as long as you keep 90% of your diet clean. My struggle has always been that once I start eating sugar and carbs I can’t stop and it becomes torture. So like I said before, I treat it with caution!
I hope you have an amazing weekend not allowing food to control you but you to control it! Remember, “Everything is permissible”–but not everything is beneficial.”1 Corinthians 10:23
We want to hear how you enjoyed your Valentine’s Day, chocolates, date night, or better?
